CARDIO ZONE

The Cardio Zone equipment is primarily designed for improving how your heart and lungs work. If you are a beginner, try at least five minutes on the equipment at the start and try and build up gradually so that over time you can cope with up to 30 minutes. The harder you train, the fitter you will get over time – this is a very well known technique for keeping fit.  It is widely thought that this is the best starting point for any fitness programme.

There are further techniques you could try on cardio equipment. For example try interval training, a great way to gradually get fitter.  The interval training technique will improve your recovery systems and  challenge you further by adding a new level of intensity. A simple example may be to do 1 minute on and 1 off continuously for15 to 20 minutes. Short Intervals will begin to challenge speed endurance and the ability to improve your power.

TONE ZONE

The benefit of equipment marked Tone Zone is to increase muscle tone, strength (a greater ability to create higher force) and power (a greater ability to create force quickly). It can also help to improve your joint control as you should never lock out your limbs and always use smooth movements when using this equipment. It will also help in improving posture and stability,

CHILL OUT ZONE

You are only improving when you are recovering. Use the Chill Out Zone equipment to warm up and to stretch tired muscles after a workout
This area is dedicated to the recovery system but also includes some stomach and core based stations, carefully designed to target the work done towards the anterior torso in a safe and effective manner."
